Korero mo te turanga - About the role Te Herenga Waka - Victoria University of Wellington is currently recruiting for a Kaiarahi Pokapu Tauira - Student Service Centre Adviser to join our Student Service Centre within Titoko - Centre for Student Success on a permanent, full-time contract. The Kaiarahi Pokapu Tauira - Student Service Centre Adviser is responsible for delivering efficient, accurate, and timely support to a wide range of customers including students, prospective students, whanau, staff, visitors, and members of the public. This role works collaboratively and proactively to provide the best possible support and service. Key responsibilities include: Providing high-quality advice and support on all tier one related enquiries through a range of channels, including face-to-face, phone, email, and other channels. Maintaining a high level of knowledge and understanding of the University's services, systems, and processes to support exceptional customer service. Accurately recording interactions and maintaining student records as required. Collaborating closely with team members and other departments to resolve complex issues. Ensuring follow-up and ownership of allocated cases to ensure the best customer outcomes. O pumanawa - About you Key requirements include the following: Excellent communication skills with the ability to express complex information in an accurate and concise form for a variety of audiences. Highly organised and demonstrate an ability to work efficiently and collaboratively while maintaining an eye for detail and continuous improvement. Ability to remain calm under pressure and resilience in handling high volumes of work. A self-starter with a positive approach to work and a passion for people and continuous learning. Proficient computer skills. Ideally previous experience in a customer service role.
