About Us Te Runanga o Ngati Hine holds the broadcasting license for the radio frequency.
Ngati Hine Health Trust (NHHT) provides operational governance and Ngati Hine Ltd provides management oversight to operate the broadcast license.
This collaborative structure ensures that the cultural, social, and strategic objectives of Ngati Hine are met through effective management and innovative broadcasting.
The Role: Community Media and Content Lead As a Community Media and Content Lead, you'll use your positive energy to build strong relationships with our whanau, hapu, community, and team.
You'll implement and drive NHFM's strategic intent.
You will lead the creation and implementation of the Annual Plan, ensuring high standards in radio and multimedia services.
Your Mission Strategic Vision and Direction: Drive NHFM's strategic vision and align it with Ngati Hine Ltd's goals.
Develop and implement the Annual Plan, ensuring high standards in radio and multimedia services.
Operational and Financial Stewardship: Oversee financial operations, manage contractual obligations, and maintain compliance with organizational financial guidelines.
Team Leadership and Development: Inspire and mentor the NHFM team, fostering a collaborative culture.
Conduct regular performance reviews and professional development plans.
Community and Stakeholder Engagement: Build strong relationships with stakeholders, promote NHFM's mission within the community, and secure support and resources.
Content and Program Delivery: Ensure adherence to broadcast schedules and content delivery timelines.
Oversee multimedia content production to maintain high technical and editorial standards.
About You Qualifications and Experience: Mandatory (Must Have) - Governance: Experience working with a board/writing Board papers - Multimedia/digital/media/content transformational experience - Leadership in radio/media/broadcasting - Fluency in Te Reo o Ngati Hine and English - Proven strategic thinking and planning skills - Creative and innovative - Strong networking skills - Ability to build rapport and relationships, empower our people and Kaimahi through our communication - Leads with a positive attitude, kindness and courtesy to others - Cultural awareness and commitment to tikanga Maori - Experience in facilitating meetings - Effective role modelling - Risk management capabilities Should Have - Strong understanding of multimedia and radio technical aspects - Proficiency in Microsoft Office and database systems - Current and unblemished driver's license - Background in journalism or communications Could Have - Familiarity with financial management - Professional development and mentoring skills - Experience in content production and quality assurance What You Bring Professionalism: A professional attitude with great customer service skills and a meticulous eye for detail.
