Housing & Homelessness Services (Community Services & Development)Kaiarahi - Cultural Practitioner 32 hours per week (Sat - Fri 0600 - 1430, 1400- 2230)Deliver the daily programme. This includes facilitating whanaungatanga or skills groups, providing 1:1 sessions to support wahine to work towards their individual goals, and helping with the daily running of the whare.About the roleOur Cultural Practitioner - Te Whare Hinatore is responsible for implementing the daily programme, ensuring service delivery aligns with the direction, goals, and objectives of Te Whare Hinatore, with a specific focus on the implementation and integration of te ao Maori within all elements of the service. This includes the weekly Wahine dinner as an important extension of Te Whare Hinatore. This is a female-only service.DutiesDeliver Te Whare Hinatore daily programme alongside other practitioners.Provide support to conduct groups and 1:1 sessions in a safe and professional manner.Support and/or conduct comprehensive assessments.Collaborate with the team in the development of individual treatment and care/safety plans.Support and/or conduct admission/discharge meetings.SkillsRelevant tertiary qualification with demonstrated experience or experience working in the sector, ideally within a residential setting.
