Te Aho o Te Kura Pounamu (Te Kura) is New Zealand's largest school with a roll of up to 24,000 akonga (students) at any point in time. We provide personalised learning programmes from early childhood to NCEA Level 3.
Our akonga are at the centre of all we do. We are privileged to support many akonga on their learning journey, including many at-risk akonga.
We seek a Kaiako expert in Y7-10 to join Te Aka Taumatua, leading bilingual and te reo Maori immersion for akonga. Te Aka Taumatua focuses on te reo revitalisation and matauranga Maori-based education.
If you are interested in being a part of a team that leads the revitalisation and quality of Te Reo in Aotearoa, works in a roopu that integrates Matauranga Maori in learning, design, delivery, and review, and embraces innovation for akonga Maori, we want to hear from you.
You are passionate about authentic learning, model modern pedagogy, and bring fresh ideas. Collaborative and enthusiastic, you understand key competencies, assessment practices, and are dedicated to improving student outcomes. You have experience in te reo and tikanga and have conversational ability in te reo Maori.
