Haeata Community Campus – Wainoni, South Island
We have an exciting opportunity for a kaiako / teacher to join our junior school team. We seek a passionate primary classroom kaiako / teacher who fosters learning and well-being to join our supportive hapori and teach our Y4-5 puna / class. We are seeking a confident kaiako / teacher with expertise in the teaching of literacy and numeracy, digital literacy, and can demonstrate inclusive best-practice when working with akonga with diverse needs.
We believe relationships are at the heart of all we do and we want a kaiako who is committed to this relational approach.

Cater for the collective education and wellbeing of all Haeata, specifically akonga in our Y1-8 hapori/learning area
Be confident in the implementation of the New Zealand Curriculum and hold strengths in literacy, mathematics, and culturally responsive practice
Be competent in teaching oral language, reading, writing, and literacy across the curriculum and have confidence in the use of te reo Maori
Have a passion for integration and creating learning opportunities connected to our local curriculum
Demonstrate an ability to build strong relationships with akonga/students, whanau/families, and kaimahi/Staff
Have excellent behaviour management skills
Employ a relational approach that is strength-based and solutions-focused
Meaningfully integrate Te reo Maori and Te ao Maori and our rich cultural narrative in learning opportunities for akonga.
Be willing to work in a collaborative team in an MLE environment
