Haeata Community Campus – Wainoni, South Island We have an exciting opportunity for a kaiako/teacher to join our new entrant/Y1 team.
We seek a passionate primary classroom kaiako/teacher who fosters learning and well-being to join our supportive hapori in term 4.
This is a job-share opportunity for a person interested in working collaboratively with another kaiako/teacher.
The successful applicant will focus on fostering the social and emotional development of akonga/students, teaching social skills such as sharing, cooperation, and conflict resolution, and supporting emotional development by encouraging self-regulation, resilience, and confidence in the classroom environment.
The best fit for this role will be a kaiako/teacher who: Embodies the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi Upholds the values of Haeata Community Campus Caters for the collective education and wellbeing of akonga Is confident in the implementation of the New Zealand Curriculum and holds strengths in literacy and mathematics Is culturally responsive Is competent in teaching oral language, reading, writing, and literacy Has confidence in the use of te reo Maori Has a passion for integration and creating learning opportunities connected to Haeata's local curriculum Demonstrates an ability to build strong relationships with akonga/students, whanau/families, and kaimahi/staff Employs a relational approach that is strength-based and solutions-focused Meaningfully integrates te reo Maori and te ao Maori and our rich cultural narrative in learning opportunities for akonga Is willing to work in a collaborative team in an MLE environment Please see our website or contact Deputy Principal Justine Wright at ****** for further information.
