Kaiako / Teacher

Full time, Fixed term, Start Date: 28/01/2025, End Date: 27/01/2026 (Teacher study leave and cover for release.)
Primary and intermediate (Years 1–8) / kura tuatahi, Certificated teacher
Subjects: English, Health and physical education, Learning languages, Mathematics and statistics, Science, Social sciences, Technology, Te reo Maori, The arts.
Our multicultural and diverse school is looking for 3 innovative kaiako to join our kura at the beginning of term 1 2025. We have two vacancies in our English Medium Y0-2 classes due to study leave and cover for BSLA release. We are also looking for a 0.6 teacher to cover CRT (across the school).
You will be working alongside a fantastic team of teachers. Our staff are friendly, supportive, and have a great sense of fun. We look after each other and are driven by our values of Whanau Whanui, Manaakitanga, and Manawanui.
The successful applicant will have strong pedagogical practice grounded in sustainable cultural relationships to strengthen student achievement. They will be able to work collaboratively with a dynamic group of teachers, be flexible, organized, and open-minded. Strong communication skills and the ability to build solid relationships with students and whanau alike are essential, along with a willingness to engage in the varied activities our school has to offer. A knowledge of BLSA is helpful.
We are looking for someone who can continue building our beautiful tamariki into the wonderful people we know they are and will become.
