Thisposition starts in January 2025.
You'll plan and deliver engaging lessonsaligned with the marau, adapting your teaching to meet the diverse needs oftauira.
You'll create a collaborative, inclusive environment based onWhanaungatanga, Ako, Aro, and Te Hiringa.
Responsibilities include recruitingtauira, developing materials, supervising activities like Noho and Wananga.
You'll assess tauira progress, maintain records, and collaborate withsupport teams to ensure success.
With your guidance, tauira will achieve theirgoals, complete their studies, and make a meaningful contribution to theircommunities.Mou | About youThisrole is vital in empowering tauira to deepen their understanding of traditionalMaori healing within a supportive and culturally rich learning environment.Youwill bring with you:Diploma in Matauranga Maorirelated to Rongoa/Hauora Maori that demonstrates equivalence for NZQA standardsassessed in this programme OR A written endorsement from a Maori organisation and/orrecognised kaumatua confirming an advanced ability and knowledge of te reo menga ahuatanga Maori (Rongoa/Hauora) can be considered in lieu of a recognisedqualification in Matauranga Maori.
However, study towards the requiredqualification or an accreditation confirmation may be a requirement uponemploymentNZ Certificate in AdultTertiary Teaching (Level 5) or equivalentEither attest equivalencefor NZQA standards required to assess and moderate this programme OR hold theNZ Certificate in Assessment Practice (L4)Full and current NZ DriverLicence3+ years of experienceusing traditional Maori healing methods or relevant work related to the practiceof Rongoa Maori3+ years of experience inadult teachingAsa kaupapa Maori organisation, your willingness to participate in culturalactivities and develop an understanding of Ahuatanga Maori (values, culture andtikanga) will be key.Tonoa i tenei ra!
