This fixed-term, full-time role ( hours perweek) starts in January 2025 covering parental leave until May 2025.This is a Reo Rumaki (Total Immersion) course, requiring proficiency inte reo Maori, along with proven experience in delivering and teaching thelanguage to adult learners.
We are particularly interested in Kaiako who arecreative and adaptable in their teaching methods, able to cater to diverselearning needs of tauira at various levels.
Mou (About you)To succeed in this role, you must beproficient in te reo Maori and capable of delivering lessons entirely in thelanguage.
We are looking for a confident Kaiako who brings energy andcreativity to their teaching.
You should be open and dedicated to sharing andenhancing te reo Maori skills with both your fellow team members and tauira.You will also bring with you:A Bachelor's Degree in TeReo Maori (Level 7 or higher) or be willing to work towards this qualificationand possess the relevant life experienceDiploma in Adult Teaching(Level 5) or equivalentFull and current NewZealand Driver's License3+ years' experienceteaching full immersion te reo Maori3+ years' experienceteaching adultsAsa kaupapa Maori organisation, your willingness to participate in culturalactivities and develop an understanding of Ahuatanga Maori (values, culture andtikanga) will be key.
