Te Aho o Te Kura Pounamu (Te Kura) is New Zealand's largest school with a roll of up to 24,000 akonga (students) at any point of time. We provide personalised learning programmes from early childhood to NCEA Level 3.

We have a vacancy for a Kaiako Matua (Senior Teacher) in an exciting role leading Spanish across the Overseas & Early Childhood Region.
Kaiako Matua work collaboratively, and you will have the opportunity to extend your leadership skillset by taking on a variety of roles in the ropu. They are supported by other Kaiako Matua in their ropu, regionally by our Regional Leaders of Learning, and nationally by our National Leaders of Learning.
As a Kaiako Matua, you will thrive in a busy environment, show initiative, have excellent communication skills, and be self-motivated. You will have experience in building strong curriculum learning in a range of contexts and practical experience in effective assessment for learning.
You will be future-oriented and understand how the use of technology, together with your enthusiasm, vision, and commitment, improves education outcomes for all our students, particularly for Maori and Pasifika learners.
