Kaiako - English and History Te Aho o Te Kura Pounamu (Te Kura) is New Zealand's largest school with a roll of up to 24,000 akonga (students) at any point of time. We provide personalised learning programmes from early childhood to NCEA Level 3.

We are looking for a creative, innovative Secondary Kaiako (teacher) who's a subject expert in English & History to join our team based in Auckland.
Kaiako (teacher) at Te Kura engage with our akonga (students) online and face-to-face at huinga ako (advisories) and events, and also work onsite with colleagues in our regional offices. Te Kura aims to provide flexible working arrangements, so Kaiako are able to request to work from home for up to two days per week.
It is essential that you have a sound knowledge of the New Zealand Curriculum and assessment requirements and are willing to learn, innovate, work collaboratively and build effective relationships.
You'll be future orientated and understand how the use of technology, together with your enthusiasm, vision and commitment improves education outcomes for all our students, Maori and Pasifika learners in particular.
