This is a permanent,full-time position starting in January 2025.
Responsibilities include developing lesson plans, delivering engagingcontent to tauira, addressing tauira learning needs, and assessing theirprogress.
Flexibility may be required for some weekend and evening sessions.Mou (About you)To succeed in this role, you will have sound knowledge and teachingexperience within Toi Maori Rauangi field to deliver our Kawai Raupapaprogramme.
You will need to have the ability to facilitate application ofprinciple and theory into contextualised practice, apply tikanga Maoriappropriate to toi Maori - Rauangi, and be a critical, conceptual andself-reflective practitioner.You will bring with you: Te Maunga Kura Toi (Bachelor of Maori & Indigenous Art) Level 7with a focus on required kaupapa toi (Nga Mahi a te Whare Poa, Toi Ataata,Whakairo, Mau Rakau, Maori Performing Arts), OR equivalent (Level 7 or higher),that demonstrates holding/showing equivalence for NZQA standards assessed inthis programme New Zealand Certificate in Adult and Tertiary Teaching (Level 5) orequivalent Either attest equivalence for NZQA standards required to assess andmoderate this programme OR hold the NZ Certificate in Assessment Practice (L4)Minimum two years of proven experience teaching adult learners Minimum two years of work experience in Raranga Maori Asa kaupapa Maori organisation, your willingness to participate in culturalactivities and develop an understanding of Ahuatanga Maori (values, culture andtikanga) will be key.Tonoa i tenei ra!
