The Supporter Engagement & Fundraising Department is responsible for three core functions within The Salvation Army - public awareness, public engagement, and raising income for TSA work and purpose.About the Role:You will be looking after the donors who are on the Just Gifts Programme and the Sponsorship Programme. This role will involve the stewardship of regular givers and donors on the Just Gifts platform. You will provide opportunities for donations and regular updates to maintain their engagement levels and create fundraising messages that encourage donations.What will your responsibilities be:Provide a high level of administrative support to donors and the internal team to ensure appropriate and timely communications for donors and the centres that are being supported by the fundraising.Focus on future recruitment of new sponsorship donors and new Just Gifts donors.Develop regular giving income and ensure the retention of the current database of supporters.Our ideal candidate will have:Experience in a donor-facing role, which is an advantage.Knowledge of Salvation Army's structure and practices both internationally and in New Zealand.Time management skills to prioritise multiple tasks, keep track of work in progress, and meet deadlines.Self-organising and accurate administration skills.Well-developed listening skills and excellent phone manner.Attention to detail; speed and accuracy with data entry.Understanding and empathy towards the mission, values, and beliefs of The Salvation Army.Demonstrated ability to use the Microsoft Office suite; familiarity with digital technologies like email platforms would be advantageous.Our offer to you:An additional 5 days leave.Free confidential counselling services to support your wellbeing.Subsidised flu vaccinations.This role is permanent part-time and hours worked will be 18.75 per week.The starting hourly rate for this role will fall between $26.00 and $30.00.The Salvation Army is proud to be an equal opportunity employer and believes workplaces thrive with diversity.
