We are seeking a passionate and culturally aware educator who is committed to embracing diversity and inclusivity and creating a learning environment where all students feel valued and empowered. The successful candidate will be required to have extensive curriculum knowledge and have experience in the implementation of the structured literacy approach. This position comes with one fixed term management unit to lead the implementation of structured literacy development throughout the school.
The ability to work collaboratively within a small school environment is essential. The successful applicant will also be expected to support the ethos and philosophy of the school.
Skills required:
Proven skill in building and maintaining positive relationships
Strong time management and organisational skills
Ability to balance multiple tasks and problem solve while maintaining a successful classroom
Effective communication with students, staff, and community
Ability to manage challenges and adapt their teaching practice as needed
Commitment to the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi.
