Canterbury Recruitment (CanRecruit) is looking for a Junior Surveyor to join a great team in Porirua, Wellington region!
You will be responsible for providing a high standard of site surverying services under the supervision of a licensed surveyor!
Sumary of job terms: Permanent MON - FRI: 8AM - 4.30PM (A minimum of 30 hours gauranteed per week) $29 â $34 p/h Suitable Candidates must have at least a minimum of 1 years' experience THE OPPORTUNITY: Reports to Survey Manager but will be assigned to a specific zone or area.
Daily communication with assigned zone or area manager.
Attend weekly toolbox talks and morning start up meetings.
Undertake Topographical Surveys under supervision.
Undertake Building and Infrastructure setout surveys under supervision.
Providing data in respect of variation orders and site instructions Assist with strategies, systems and procedures for the execution of all surveying operations to the required level of accuracy and quality.
Work to a program of surveying activities.
Become familiar with 12d software and develop draughting & modeling skills to be able to produce basic drawings, as built information and drawings, calculations and report volumes.
Undertake basic reporting of surveying information, areas and volumes.
Maintain project drawing and document archives.
Undertake technical âhands-onâ activities as required.
Assist with operation of machine control guidance systems on graders, pavers & milling machines.
Performing and managing activities and operations according to the project management procedures including safety and wellbeing.
Ensuring all work is carried out in compliance with work instructions, client specifications or standards prepared for a particular job.
Any other additional duties as required.
