We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Logistics & Production Manager to join our lean, yet dynamic Auckland based team.
Job Summary:
The Logistics & Production Manager will oversee production processes, placing daily orders, and ensuring efficient operations with our partners from ordering to product delivery. This role requires a blend of strategic planning & operational oversight to meet production goals while maintaining high-quality standards. The role contains a number of unique quirks working with specialised LED products - these quirks will be taught as the role progresses, but the ideal candidate must be a quick learner.
Key Responsibilities:
Logistics Management: Develop and implement logistics strategies to optimise supply chain efficiency and reduce costs.
Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery of goods.
Manage inventory levels, forecasting needs, and minimizing waste.
Production Oversight: Plan, schedule, and oversee production activities to meet customer demands and deadlines.
Monitor production processes to ensure adherence to quality standards and operational efficiency.
Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and reduce lead times.
Work closely with sales, design, and customer service teams to align production schedules with client needs.
Collaborate with manufacturing to address any product quality issues promptly.
Reporting and Analysis: Maintain accurate records of production metrics, inventory levels, and logistics costs.
Prepare and present weekly reports to senior management on production performance and logistics efficiency.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Production Management, or a related field.
2+ years of experience in logistics and production management, preferably in a manufacturing or creative industry. Bonus if you've worked in a Signage company previously.
Strong understanding of supply chain processes, inventory management, and production methodologies.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficient in using logistics and production management software (Excel & fluent using Mac computers). We have built our own production scheduling system which will be taught during training.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Experience in Customer Service is a bonus.
