We want someone who's ready to challenge the norm, bring bold ideas to the table, and help build brands that stand out.The role –As our Junior Graphic Designer, you'll play a key role in bringing our clients' visions to life. From crafting brand identities to designing marketing collateral and creating digital content, no two days will be the same. This is a full time (30-40 hours per week) role based in our vibrant inner-city studio, working alongside our tight-knit team of creatives.Your responsibilities will include:Collaborating with our Lead Brand Designer in developing and designing new brand identities.Designing on-brand print collateral such as business cards, booklets, brochures, flyers, decals, packaging, merch, apparel, and more.Managing social media content by producing and scheduling engaging content following our social guidelines and content plan.Collaborating with contractors (e.g., photographers, copywriters) when needed.Creating campaign creative such as billboards, bus backs and digital ads.Creating engaging motion graphics with basic animation techniques in After Effects and/or Premiere Pro. You don't have to be a pro at this, just the basic skills would be beneficial!Editing videos using Premiere Pro. You don't need advanced skills — understanding the essentials like cutting, trimming, and adding simple effects is a great starting point!Supporting internal event planning and organisation.Ensuring work is delivered accurately, within budget, and on time.Maintaining confidentiality regarding client strategies and sensitive information.You'll also pitch in with general administrative tasks and collaborate across the team to deliver exceptional creative outcomes for both Kowhai Creative and our clients.About you –You'll be passionate about design, a stickler for detail, and someone who thrives on juggling multiple creative tasks. You'll likely think of yourself as:A natural collaborator who loves working in a team.Organised, efficient, and comfortable working within set budgets and timelines.Very confident working within the Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop).A small amount of animation experience (After Effects and/or Premiere Pro).A bonus if you have photography experience editing in Lightroom, and any website experience within Webflow.Eager to grow your skills and take on challenges.Previous design experience is a bonus, but attitude and willingness to learn are what we value most!We're a branding and website development agency who simplifies the design process for ambitious, forward-thinking brands.We love nothing more than turning ideas into impactful, meaningful brands.
