Mo te Turanga | About the Role
We sat down with our UX Design Director, and he let us know the following about the role:
What are 5 day-to-day tasks the person in this role will complete?
Working closely with Design Leads and Product teams to understand business needs, so you can design optimal customer interactions for any given product or interface.
Designing detailed interaction flows, or design components for our digital channels.
Adding to, or enhancing our design system.
Working with our UX Research team, facilitating or observing customer usability sessions.
Helping design a future vision for our digital channels.
What is the team culture and environment like?
We are passionate about design and make the most of the diverse talents and experiences of our team. We are busy, we enjoy being in the middle of things and we love that our work makes a difference to our colleagues and customers. We also have fun; we don't take ourselves too seriously and promote a safe and inclusive culture.
What is the most exciting thing about this opportunity?
Working with Design Leads & Designers in our dynamic design team, you will be crafting experiences within our online banking channels and apps, delivering outstanding usability, world-class accessible experiences and building our brand.
What attributes will this person display to be successful in this role?
You will need to be a great communicator, know how to take the initiative, be collaborative, and love working in a team. You will need to be curious, have a great attitude, be open to change and be a great problem solver. Key requirements for the role also include:
1+ years Interaction Design experience, with an emphasis on simplicity and innovation.
Translating business need into great designs through Figma and Adobe CC.
