They are a big believer in growing and developing their team and as such they're looking for a young engineer who wants to use their site experience to grow their career as a civil estimator.
As a Junior Civil Estimator with this contractor, you will play a crucial role in winning and delivering a range of civil and infrastructure projects way into the future.
This position is ideal for those looking to leverage their site-based experience in a new direction, focusing on estimating and planning rather than fieldwork.
Your engineering background and site-based understanding of the construction process will allow you to propose alternative and better solutions to the client and add significant value to tenders.
The role: Work with the project teams to develop accurate and comprehensive estimates for a range of civil projects, including water, structures, and heavy civil work.Collaborate with senior estimators and project managers to refine project scopes and budgets.Use your site-based experience of buildability to offer better solutions to clients.Analyse engineering drawings and specifications to prepare detailed cost estimates.Employ your strong analytical skills to evaluate project requirements and identify potential risks or opportunities.Ideal requirements: A qualified Civil Engineer with a minimum of 2 years of site-based experience as a Civil Site Engineer.Experienced in water, structures, or heavy civil disciplines, with a keen interest in transitioning to estimating.Detail-oriented with a robust understanding of engineering solutions and an analytical approach to problem-solving.Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications.If you're ready to bring your engineering expertise to a new challenge and grow with a leading contractor, we'd love to hear from you!
