Details of the offer

New role with scope to develop Commercial & Architectural joinery operation
Fantastic team culture.
Our client is a well-established joinery company that works alongside a small group of architects/designers and commercial builders, supporting them to deliver a range of both commercial construction fit outs and other residential projects.
To maintain that position, they have invested in new technologies and have built a small high-performing team that has a real passion for delivering excellence and looking for continuous improvements. A focus on quality, premium service, and uncompromised delivery has led to them developing a strong reputation that brings them repeat business as the preferred supplier.
This is a new role that is part of their succession planning. While offering a leadership role in the day-to-day operations, it will work with the Managing Director to take a broader role in:

Pricing new business opportunities.
Working with builders to ensure the project specification and requirements are fully documented.

As such, your areas of involvement will develop to be quite broad-ranging. While the joinery knowledge and experience in pricing is critical, so are:

Planning skills.
The ability to deal with detail.
People skills that will see you comfortable in working with a full range of suppliers and customers.

This is definitely a role with scope for growth & development, where each day will be different and your ability to problem solve and find solutions as part of the team will be critical.
In seeking applications, we are looking for experienced individuals who have initially trained as a Joiner, have some experience in pricing, but want to develop and take on a broader business management role. As such, you'll be good with people, show initiative and be proactive enough to jump to and respond to situations as they arise. You will be efficient, detail-focused, but also good at building relationships with clients and generating opportunities by being proactive in responding to needs with the architects and builders.
In return, you will be joining a business where people are hard-working but know how to have fun. This is a company where the team works as a cohesive group and where everyone gets to be part of something great. On offer is a competitive remuneration package plus recognition and reward that is delivered due to its focus on people.
Once established in the role, as part of the succession planning, there will be the opportunity to buy a shareholding and secure your longer-term future.
