This is a new role that is part of their succession planning, so while offering a leadership role in the day to day operations, it will work with the Managing Director to take a broader role in the front end, pricing new business opportunities and working with the builders to ensure the project specification and requirements are fully documented.
As such, your areas of involvement will develop to be quite broad ranging, and so while the joinery knowledge and experience in pricing is critical, so are the planning skills, the ability to deal with the detail and the people skills that will see you very comfortable working with a full range of suppliers and customers.
This is definitely a role with scope for growth & development, where each day will be different and your ability to problem solve and find solutions as part of the team will be critical.
In seeking applications we are looking for experienced individuals who have: Initially trained as a Joiner Some experience in pricing A desire to develop and take on a broader business management role As such, you'll be good with people, show initiative and be proactive enough to jump to and respond to situations as they arise.
You will be efficient, detail focused, but also good at building relationships with clients and generating opportunities by being proactive in responding to needs with the architects and builders.
