Join Our Building Consent Team! - Networking Evening Exciting opportunities await at Selwyn District Council to support our vibrant and rapidly growing district. We're on the lookout for passionate Building Surveyors to help us achieve the best possible outcomes for our community. Selwyn offers a diverse range of building projects across its expansive rural high country and dynamic urban areas. About the Role: As a member of the Building Team, you'll be responsible and accountable for: Providing a wide variety of Building Act related services to the Council, the Council building consent authority (BCA), and to the public. Providing advice and expertise on a wide range of areas across the Building Act. Undertaking a variety of tasks across a range of industries including building, plumbing, drainage, planning and property matters on a regular basis, adapting to continual improvements and changes, and taking steps to ensure that personal technical competence is maintained and enhanced where necessary. Providing building advice and support to staff within the organisation to enable the provision of an integrated approach to customer service and effective achievement of outputs. Positions Available: Building Surveyor - Building Compliance (currently being advertised) Networking Event: We invite you to our networking afternoon on Wednesday, 6 November . This is your chance to: Meet the Head of Building and hear her vision for the team. Connect with key stakeholders within the Council. Discover how your skills and passion can contribute to our organisation and Selwyn communities. Talk one on one with key staff from the building team and understand the range of functions and roles the team carries out.
