Bishop Auckland College is seeking to recruit a Job Coach, who will be responsible for helping to secure the SEN learners a work experience placement liaising with employers. The Job Coach will promote travel training and attend placements with the learners, developing the learners to be able to travel and function within the setting. Supporting students in various aspects of their Study Programme will result in an effective educational experience, including delivery and mentoring support during work and throughout the Study Programme to ensure successful achievement of all goals. The successful candidate will be required to possess a Level 3 Qualification in the relevant vocational area, Safeguarding Level 1 (to be achieved within 6 weeks), Level 2 in Literacy (or willing to work towards within 2 years), Level 2 in Numeracy (or willing to work towards within 2 years), CTLLS qualification (or to work towards within 1 year), and must have own car/driver with a clean driving licence. Applicants will also have experience of working in post-16 education settings and knowledge and experience relating to working within the specialist area of SEN.
