We have a big network of pipes to make it all happen - more than 490 km of pipes bringing clean water to homes and businesses, and another 360 km of pipes taking wastewater away.
We are seeking a Jetter and Vacuum Truck Operator to join our team in Papakura.
In this role, you will operate a state-of-the-art 'mini-combo' truck equipped with high-pressure jetting equipment, vacuum system and CCTV inspection technology.
You will be responsible for operating the mini-combo truck to clean, maintain and inspect our wastewater network to ensure that the system runs smoothly and safely for the Papakura community.

blocked pipes or wastewater overflowsOperate the mini-combo truck and other equipment in support of CCTV inspections and pipe repair / rehabilitation works e.g.
pipe cleaning, flow management, bypass pumping etcConduct CCTV inspection of wastewater pipes and visual inspection of manholes to identify defects and fault-find operational issuesEnsure that the mini-combo truck is appropriately and regularly serviced and maintainedEnsure the cleanliness and daily pre-start inspection of the mini-combo truckCommunicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and members of the publicAdhere to Veolia's safety, health, environmental and quality policiesWhat you'll need to be successfulClass 2 truck licence with Dangerous Goods endorsementExperience with high-pressure jetting equipment and vacuum systems (CCTV inspection experience is a plus)Knowledge of wastewater networks and infrastructurePhysical ability to perform job functions in various conditionsAbility to read and interpret maps, plans and technical documentsBasic to intermediate digital literacy skillsGood communication, time management, and organisational skillsAbility to work under pressure and in emergency situationsWillingness to work flexible hours when requiredA good work ethic, self-motivated, and a positive proactive attitudeStrong focus on health and safety practicesPersonal Attributes: Self-motivated with a positive, proactive attitudeStrong problem-solving skills and adaptabilityHigh degree of personal integrity and work ethicAbility to work autonomously and as part of a teamCommitment to ongoing learning and developmentWith the global expertise gained from serving the environment for more than 150 years, Veolia operates in more than 40 countries around the world, with well over a hundred sites and approximately 6000 employees in Australia & New Zealand.
