We are looking for 2 full-time Japanese Ramen Cooks who are sincere, enthusiastic, and with a sufficient understanding of Japanese cuisine to join the team in Auckland.
Key Information:
Good pay $29.66 per hour.
Guaranteed 30 to 40 hours per week on the roster.
Ramen Botany Ltd opens 7 days a week, including Christmas and holiday seasons (some public holidays may be closed).
Basic Requirements:
One to two years' relevant work experience in cookery/ hospitality, or a level 4 or above relevant qualification in cookery/ hospitality is required.
Be fit enough to work under pressure in a busy kitchen.
Must be able to work on weekends and work overtime.
Must be flexible to work lunch and dinner shifts and be able to manage two shifts in a day.
Full commitment is required.
Be reliable, responsible and punctual.
Working hard and healthy.
Be able to pass a police check.
Job Responsibilities:
Preparing fresh ingredients for Japanese ramen and other dishes.
Ensuring all restaurant Japanese cuisine recipes and preparation requirements are met.
Controlling the temperatures, seasonings and flavours are to specification.
Ensuring the quality of food and the size of food proportions.
Ensures that all food is attractively presented at all times.
Prepares and cook Japanese food to meet special dietary requirements.
Ensuring the storage of foods and others meet restaurant and statutory Health and Safety requirements.
Updating and developing new cooking techniques and procedures in accordance with the new menu.
Maintaining a strict level of hygiene in the kitchen workstations.
Additional duties and responsibilities related to the job may be assigned as required.
