Itinerant Music Teachers (Multiple Positions) Part time, Fixed term, FTTE up to: 0.2, Start Date: 28/01/2025, End Date: 27/01/2026 (Itinerant music teaching)
Secondary (Years 7–15) / wharekura, Certificated teacher
We are seeking qualified, highly effective and inspiring fixed term itinerant music teachers for 2025 (1 year). Hours will typically vary from 1 to 5 hours per week.
Teachers are required for individual, small group and ensemble tuition up to NCEA Level 3. Current itinerants employed at Waimea are welcome to reapply.
Positions: voice, flute, single reed woodwind, brass, percussion, piano, strings (orchestral & guitar).
Applicants must have:
Skills and experience in teaching a wide range of styles.
A good understanding of the music curriculum (Y9–13).
The ability to assist with NCEA performance preparation and assessment.
Experience teaching individual and group lessons.
Successful applicants must have current NZ teacher registration or a Limited Authority to Teach (LAT).
