Itinerant Music Teacher - Trumpet

Secondary (Years 7–15) / wharekura, Certificated teacher
This position is for a fixed-term, part-time (3.5 hours per week), itinerant trumpet music teacher, commencing beginning of term 1 2025 (20 January 2025), concluding 3 December 2025.
We are seeking a qualified and experienced trumpet teacher to join our music department. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting students' performance assessments and contributing to our school's Symphony Orchestra, Concert Band, and Big Band programs.
Auckland Grammar School offers both NCEA and CIE qualifications. It is the school's expectation that teaching staff participate fully in the extracurricular programme.
The remuneration will be based on the New Zealand Secondary Teachers Collective (2022 to 2025). Applicants must hold a teaching qualification as prescribed by NZQA and have a current Practising Certificate, issued by the New Zealand Teachers Council.
