Information Technology Technician 35 hours per week, 52 weeks per year Introduction: Cambridge High School (CHS) is a co-educational school, established in 1883, with a roll of approximately 1,800 students. Key Responsibilities: The position requires a person who is flexible, able to multi-task, and has the ability to work with students and staff in a highly dynamic environment.
The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, able to demonstrate good analytical and problem solving skills with strong written and oral communication skills.
Applications for this position will be required to demonstrate a competent level of general computing and IT knowledge and a willingness to learn new skills as training will be provided and you will be part of a knowledgeable team that can offer ongoing support.
There is an opportunity to include running the lighting system for our school events (full training will be provided). If you are interested in this possibility, please state this on your application.
Success for applicants for this role will have all or some of the following skills
Up to one year of providing IT or other technical support, preferable in a customer facing or help desk role.A practical knowledge of computer applications such as MS Office (and 365 suite of products), multiple operating systems and network infrastructure (wireless, Active Directory, Group Policy, Azure, OSX etc…)Experience with Windows, Chrome, and MAC O/SHardware problem identification and solvingKnowledge of multifunction photocopier and printersDevice support (tablet, phone, etc)AV experienceEssential Attributes: A good command of the English languageA high level of enthusiasm and a positive attitudeAbility to work in a Team environment, while still using your initiativeAbility to follow processes in place to provide supportProblem solving skills and customer ownershipDemonstrated ability to display the highest standards of customer serviceStrong and effective oral and written communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with people at all levels ie.
