Silver Fern Farms – Balclutha, South Island
This role provides key IT site support services across the Silver Fern Farms Finegand plant. You will be responsible for covering hardware, applications, site production systems, CCTV, security systems (physical and software), telephony, and networking. Each of these systems has specialist teams to support the site and this role, but this role is the front-line support for all IT services. The role will also help support the IT aspects of the Operation Technologies (OT) that run many of their site production processes which are managed by engineers. This role provides IT support across the office and manufacturing environment, so you will need to be comfortable walking the floor in this processing site.
Additionally, the role will also be assisting with IT and site projects as well as some user training along with some scheduled on-call requirements.
Assist, coordinate and/or perform hands-on fixes and maintenance on desktops and servers, including installing and upgrading software, installing hardware, implementing backups, configuring systems, applications, networking devices, OT devices.
Proactively engage with end users' support issues.
Actively promote and assist in the improvement of IT service delivery.
Provide technical support, fault diagnostics, and apply fixes to IT systems, services, and hardware used across the sites.

This is a customer-centric role which requires someone who is organised, passionate about resolving issues, and is consciously looking for ways to improve the IT services across the sites. To be successful you will need to be agile and adaptive to respond to the dynamic working environment and develop strong professional relationships at all levels. Key skills required:
Experienced in providing technical support including desktops, servers, printers, and networking devices.
Experience with desktop and server operating systems, including Microsoft Windows along with application support, including Microsoft Office applications and Office 365.
Excellent interpersonal skills, with a focus on rapport-building, listening, questioning and documentation skills.
Working knowledge of IT diagnostic tools, techniques, and reference materials.
Demonstrate excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
Flexible in order to provide support across both sites and on-call as required.
