Business/Systems Analysts (Information & Communication Technology)We are seeking a motivated and analytical Junior Business Analyst to join our team. You will be responsible for assisting with analysing business processes, identifying areas for improvement, and providing actionable insights and data to support decision-making within the organisation. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyse data, develop reports, and contribute to the development and implementation of business strategies.Key Responsibilities:Assist in analysing business processes to identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement.Collect and analyse data from various sources to support decision-making and strategic planning.Extract and provide data from source systems to stakeholders as required.Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into actionable insights and reports.Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, and other tools to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and business metrics.Support the implementation of business strategies by providing analysis and recommendations.Assist in conducting market research and competitive analysis to identify trends and opportunities.Communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders through presentations, reports, and other mediums.Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies relevant to business analysis.What you'll need to succeedA bachelor's degree, diploma, or other relevant tertiary IT qualificationHigh level of intelligence and ability to analyse complex, situations from several perspectivesA strong understanding of data types and how to manipulate dataA robust personality and ability to work hard even when things are difficultVery strong skills with Microsoft ExcelCommitment to the Variety causeVery good time management and organisational skillsVery good English communication and interpersonal skills, both verbal and writtenExperience using Microsoft Dynamics 365 and the Power Platform would be very beneficialAble to elicit, understand, communicate, and interpret key user business processes and requirementsExperience using Visio (or similar process mapping tools) to create process diagrams that are easy to understandExperience with Power BI to create data models and reports is beneficialProactive self-learner, not willing to sit around and wait to be taught skills that are easily found onlineIntegrity in all actions – be honest and open, with no hidden agendasAbility to work effectively in a small team with multiple internal and external stakeholders is criticalAbout VarietyJoin an inclusive, diverse, and talented team.Variety's mission is to enable children to thrive in Aotearoa New Zealand.
