We are committed to maintaining the highest standards of safety and compliance for our clients throughout the Top of the South Region.We are seeking a skilled and experienced Independent Qualified Person (IQP) currently registered in NZ to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting building warrant of fitness inspections across various sites within the Top of the South Region.Key Responsibilities:Conduct and assist with building warrant of fitness inspections in accordance with New Zealand regulations and performance standards for different Specified Systems.Assess and certify the performance of Specified Systems, including fire sprinklers, alarms, and associated equipment.Prepare and submit detailed inspection reports, outlining any deficiencies and recommendations for corrective actions.Liaise with building owners, managers, and other stakeholders to ensure understanding and compliance with inspection findings.Stay updated on relevant building compliance standards and regulations to ensure best practices are followed.Requirements:Currently registered as an Independent Qualified Person (IQP) in New Zealand, preferably under the South Island Independent Qualified Person register.Proven experience in conducting building warrant of fitness inspections.In-depth knowledge of the Specified Systems you are registered on and a general understanding of other Specified Systems part of the BWOF.Strong attention to detail and excellent problem-solving skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Ability to manage time effectively.Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.Valid driver's license and willingness to travel throughout the Top of the South Region.Ability to pass a NZ Police Vetting check.What We Offer:Permanent and full-time position in our company.Company Vehicle.Competitive compensation based on experience and qualifications.Flexible work arrangements with the ability to manage your own schedule.Opportunities for professional growth and development within a supportive team environment.The chance to contribute to a safer community by ensuring the compliance and safety of fire protection systems.Company Benefits:Time and a half for over 40hrs worked within the week's period.Paid day off on your birthday!8 hours paid a month to allow you to complete your NZQA qualification assignments.$2,000.00 towards your family relocation*.$500.00 when you complete your NZQA Level 3 qualifications*.$1,000.00 when you complete NZQA Level 4 qualifications*.
