As an IoT and Mobility Solution Architect, you will oversee requirement gathering, technology selection, and solution design in collaboration with our customers, enabling them to adopt One New Zealand's advanced technology solutions and positioning us as a Trusted Advisor.
You will work closely with our sales teams to design solutions that address our customers' IoT needs, focusing on delivering scalable, secure, and innovative Mobility and IoT solutions.
A key aspect of this role is possessing deep technical knowledge of the IoT market, allowing you to clearly communicate the technical benefits of IoT and establish yourself as an expert in the field, guiding customers toward adopting One NZ IoT.
Additionally, you will provide technical leadership and consulting, from strategic decisions down to project planning. The scope of these solutions encompasses hardware, software, networks, middleware, cloud or customer-hosted applications and platforms, and their integration. This is a customer-facing role that demands strong technical, communication, and collaboration skills.

Ko to mahi – what you'll doIoT Presales solution design across all Enterprise customer segments.Being a visible champion of One NZ's IoT products and service set.Help build IoT pipeline opportunities in conjunction with account/sales segment teams.Apply a consultative, business-needs approach to customer engagement and solution design, applying knowledge and understanding of IoT and Mobility Solutions.Support Account team(s) to identify and develop new IoT and Mobility opportunities grow One NZ's footprint.Build accurate, scalable cost models and provide input into pricing strategy.Document solutions through proposals, presentations and up to High Level Solution Overview and handover to delivery.Na tou rourou - what you'll bringConsiderable experience and successful record of accomplishment in dealing with large customers in a solution design or consultancy role.Demonstratable knowledge and experience in IoT and Mobility Solutions.Ideally Knowledge of Cellular infrastructure and capability as well as Mobile protocols and IP layers.Ideally coding/application capability.Excellent Communication skills, with the ability to lead design workshops.Ideally experience with Design Thinking and HCD.Agile Mindset with a working knowledge of Agile Methodologies.Brings a variety of disciplines to solve customer problems, including active listening and consulting, thought leadership and vision, business acumen, architectural rigour and technical savvy.Passionate about industry trends, current & emerging technologies.The ability to easily translate technical terminology into business language and vice versa.At One New Zealand, we have a clear purpose to unlock the magic of technology to create an awesome Aotearoa.
