Our Opportunity: Our Finfish (Ika) division has been in operation for over 30 years. Our people are committed to ensuring we have in place the best-in-class processes and systems throughout our operations to safeguard the quality of our fish, right from the time of catch until it reaches you and that the highest standards of food safety can be guaranteed. We have recently opened a new state of the art fisheries processing site in Porirua and are looking to grow our Ika factory team. As an integral member of our factory team, you will be responsible for managing chilled and frozen productions from reception to processing and storage and sales within our Wellington operations. Key responsibilities: Ensure efficient receipt of goods and service to customersStock management and rotation Liaising with Food Service Operations Manager and factory team to ensure efficient handling of product and all processes and documentation is completed, accurate and validEnsure product quality and safety throughout each stage of the operationsCompliance to all Health & Safety, Food Safety and Fishing Industry RegulationsThis is a physical role, which offers variety, the chance to engage with your team as well as customers and have a good level of responsibility. What You Will Bring: As a friendly, highly motivated, and hard-working person you will enjoy being in a role where you have autonomy. Previous experience in inwards good is preferred, you will require a valid forklift license, excellent numeracy and literacy skills, and computer literacy.
