READER |WRITER | INVIGILATOR
FOR EXAMS AND TESTS
Disability Support Service provides Readers and Writers across our three campuses, City, North Shore, and South Campus.
We are now recruiting several Readers/Writers for Exams and Tests.
As a Reader/Writer, you must be someone who enjoys working independently but who is comfortable following instructions and processes, and who can work with a student and maintain a calm presence under pressure.
Reader/Writers are paid an hourly rate including 1 hour set up/clear down time. End of Semester exam bookings are usually between 3 - 5 hours and are during business hours although we occasionally have evening bookings.
Successful Applicants
Must be able to read verbally in clear, concise English
Must be able to write for 3-4 hours under exam conditions
Must have eligible handwriting and above-average spelling
Must have excellent listening skills
Must be able to set up an exam on a computer
Must be responsible, reliable, and punctual
Must have excellent references
AUT 3rd Year student with Top Grades/Post Grad/PhD student
Ex-Teacher
All applicants must be eligible to work in New Zealand
Timeframes for Exams - on set days between the timeframes
Main Exams
Sem 1 - 4th June to 28 June
Sem 2 - 21st October to 8 November
Tests: Throughout the semester
Salary Range: $29.11 - $38.36 Pro-rata (dependent on experience and qualifications)
