This full-time role provides an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact on the development and production of New Zealand feature films.To Kaupapa | Your PurposeAs the Investment and Development Executive, you will:Advise and assist filmmakers seeking development and production funding.Assess film applications, including scripts, creative documents, budgets, and finance plans.Work closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure smooth communication and decision-making.Support filmmakers through the contracting and development process, ensuring accurate funding administration and timelines.Maintain strong relationships with filmmakers throughout the production and delivery phases.To Mahi | What You DoYou will be responsible for:Advising filmmakers on development and production funding and managing the application process.Providing technical support and overseeing the administration of applications through NZFC systems.Assessing applications, including scripts, budgets, and market potential, and providing internal advice.Coordinating assessors and the assessment process to inform funding decisions.Preparing summaries, papers, and presentations to support decision-making, and managing communication with applicants, including declining feedback.Acting as the key point of contact for funded films, supporting teams through development, production, and delivery.Monitoring cost reporting, managing the administration of development funding, and ensuring compliance with funding terms.Contributing to Te Rautaki Maori objectives, championing diversity and inclusion, and participating in industry outreach.Upholding NZFC values, supporting colleagues, managing risks, and promoting sustainability and a healthy work environment.To Turanga | Where You BelongThis role is based in Auckland and reports to the Film Development Lead within the NZFC's Funding Team.
