The Business Development team's focus areas are acquisitions, capital raising and marketing.The Investment Analyst's primary focus will be putting together investment presentations that tell our story for capital raising activities, providing financial analysis, modelling, and market research, and assisting with due diligence, compliance documentation, reporting, and stakeholder management.In undertaking these accountabilities, you will:Use technical capability combined with available technology and tools to provide analysis and reporting (as requested and proactively) to support decision-making and the achievement of operational and achievement objectives;Operate in accordance with the values and behaviours expected, including a culture of safety and sustainability;Create, manage and enhance close working relationships with key stakeholders and decision-makers – internal and external;Contribute to the development of strategic objectives and plans for the portfolios as required;Support the resolution of issues and the overcoming of challenges by using analysis and expertise as necessary.The role is to be located in Christchurch, working alongside the other teams to maximise continuity growth across the business.This role requires a high level of intellectual and analytical capability, combined with the ability to develop strong working partnerships, work independently and achieve results.Key Aspects of the Role:To be successful in this role the Investment Analyst shall have and be able to demonstrate the following skills and experience:Hold a relevant tertiary qualification and have exceptional and proven financial and investment analysis skills.Have worked for at least 3 years in an accounting firm, bank, asset management, investment firm or similar commercial experience.Candidates with CFA certification or studying towards CFA or equivalent qualifications are highly preferred.Ability to communicate complex information in simple everyday language, including excellent oral and written skills.An eye for identifying opportunities in the data and in the market will set you apart as a leader in this role as will your down-to-earth style and your affinity for the Agri-sector.Good interpersonal skills with the ability to relate well and develop strong working relationships with a wide range of people.With this being a new role to the FarmRight team, this position of Investment Analyst plays a crucial role in the strategic growth of the investment and business as a whole.
