Our Otahuhu third party logistics client is ready to grow their team with an Inventory manager. They have a range of hazardous and non hazardous inventory, which all needs to be handled safely. This role has responsibility for managing the warehouse function and inventory of all goods (hazardous and non-hazardous), stock movement across all sites and overall inventory management control. This position involves ensuring that all inwards goods (especially hazardous goods) are handled, stored, and transported safely in accordance with regulatory requirements. The Inventory Manager will assist the Operations Manager and oversee a team of employees responsible for inventory control, accurate recording and receiving or picking of goods, and handling of all hazardous materials. Key Responsibilities:Manage the inventory of all goods being received or moved across all sites.Ensure that all hazardous materials are handled, recorded, stored, and transported in accordance with company policies, Health and Safety regulatory requirements, including HSNO Regulations: Other duties include Managing damages, Ensuring housekeeping is completed, tracking inventory to maintain consumables, ensure PPE is used appropriately, and involvement in health and safety. Provide leadership and act as a role model for the company, its business culture, core values and continuous improvement thinking. Be very familiar with key warehouse inventory systems and data and propose any change to improve efficiency or operational effectiveness. Qualifications in inventory management, administration, or relevant fields are preferred.
