We're looking for a highly motivated Inventory & Logistics Coordinator to join New Zealand's fastest growing independent spirits company.The Inventory & Logistics Coordinator will be a key part of our business as we continue to grow our global reach and product offering.We are looking for someone to join the supply chain & logistics side of the business, although given the fast-paced nature of the business, there are always ad hoc projects to get stuck into.The primary focus of this role is to:Drive exceptional customer service, internally and externally, for supply chain activitiesPromote a cost-efficient, effective, and sustainable supply chainKEY RESPONSIBILITIES:Responsible for inventory accuracy through routine stock takes, reconciliations, and adjustmentsActively drives improvements to inventory control processes to improve accuracy and reduce wasteProcess sales orders in internal systems and through 3PL portalsMaintain relationships with 3PLs, customers, suppliers, and freight forwarders to ensure timely and economic stock movementsEnsure stock movements are reflected accurately in the systemManage product registration for new products and new marketsAssist with ad hoc projectsCompletion of month-end tasks to meet business reporting deadlinesSeek opportunities and implement actions to improve costs and reduce wasteKey external relationships:Customers and distributorsRaw material suppliersSKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:Functional Skills:Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including strengths in negotiation, issue management, and influencingIntermediate Microsoft Excel and numerical skillsPrior experience applying supply chain principles including inventory management and logisticsPersonal Attributes:Well organized and focused on meeting deadlinesAbility to multitask within a fast-paced environmentDemonstrated ability to support and interact effectively with other core business functionsLogical thinker, can work 'outside the square' to resolve issuesProactive in seeking better ways to workKEY COMPETENCIES:PROACTIVE THINKING: The ability to evaluate future implications of current decisions and actions; the ability to mentally create scenarios and outcomes of situations that could develop from decisions or plans of action.PROBLEM SOLVING ABILITY: The ability to identify alternative solutions to a problem and to select the best option; the ability to identify the system component that is causing the error, as well as options available for resolving it and completing the task.ANALYSIS OF DATA: Requirement that details, data, and facts are analyzed and challenged prior to making decisions and that important decision-making data is maintained accurately for repeated examination as required.CHAMPION FOR CHANGE: Treats change as an opportunity for producing both personal and organizational learning/growth; is motivated to continue even when things get difficult through maintaining an optimistic thinking style; is open to and adjusts effectively to work within new work structures, processes, or cultures.ABOUT SCAPEGRACE DISTILLING CO:Scapegrace Distilling Co is New Zealand's largest independent spirits company, founded in 2014 by brothers-in-law Daniel McLaughlin and Mark Neal, alongside Richard Bourke.The Scapegrace brand is in 43 markets around the world where it's known for its exceptional craftsmanship and innovative flavors which boast a taste of New Zealand's adventurous spirit.Scapegrace gin was voted World's Best London Dry Gin at the prestigious International Wine & Spirits Competition, London 2018.
