Stores & Inventory Coordinator Role in the Engineering department with a successful dairy company in Christchurch.You, the Candidate:Attitude is key. We're looking for someone who is eager to learn and works well under pressure. You'll be working in a fast-paced role where multitasking and prioritising will be essential. Ideally, you will have worked in inventory management for the engineering department, whether that's as an engineer or an inventory controller.Skills, Experience & Qualifications:5+ years' experience in manufacturing (preferably in food or dairy).Relevant trade, diploma, or qualification preferred.Parts procurement and working in CMMS.Implementing and maintaining new systems/technology.Analytical and financial modelling skills, with experience working effectively to a budget.Able to identify cost savings and improvements.Excellent decision-making, able to prioritise and multitask.Strong communication skills, works well in a team, and able to train and coach.Resilience under pressure and meeting deadlines.Strategic thinking and problem-solving.The Opportunity:Reporting to the Maintenance & Engineering Manager, the Stores and Inventory Coordinator is a newly created role aimed at maximising equipment availability, extending equipment life, and ensuring effective parts procurement and storage. You'll be expected to implement and maintain systems while multitasking and prioritising effectively.Your Core Tasks Will Include:Ensuring accurate and up-to-date equipment master data in CMMS (MEX).Improving stores and inventory processes.Procurement, maintaining inventory levels, identifying and rectifying stock anomalies, and updating the parts catalogue and conducting inventory audits.Collaborating with maintenance planners to improve part DIFTOS.Controlling day-to-day spending and processing invoices promptly.Training and educating contractors on tools, parts, and chemical management policies.The Company:This is your opportunity to join a large and successful food manufacturer in Christchurch supplying to domestic and global markets.
