Inventory Controller

Job Title: Purchasing, Procurement & Inventory (Manufacturing, Transport & Logistics)
Employment Type: Full time
Salary: $75,000 – $82,000 per year plus benefits
Work for one of New Zealand's market leaders in the food industry, based in the beautiful Mount Maunganui. They are setting the standard in excellence for food product manufacturing.
About the Role:
This is a great team environment where hard work is balanced with fun. Managing numerous tasks is what this role is about. You'll be responsible for minimising stock variances, maintaining high inventory accuracy, and reducing wastage. It's a busy role but you are supported by a great manager and team around you. You'll be working Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week.
Duties Include:
Responsible for the planning, management, and execution of cycle counts
Working closely with the warehouse and operations team to optimise inventory levels
Manage freight costs and performance, boosting efficiency and effectiveness
Plan, track, and manage logistics using Microsoft Dynamics
Report on inventory errors, aged stock, damages, and stock adjustments
Skills & Experience:
The ideal candidate will have the following:
Previous experience in manufacturing (ideally the food industry)
Strong analytical ability
Be a confident communicator with the ability to build strong relationships
Great computer skills including Microsoft Excel; experience with Microsoft Dynamics preferred but not essential
Ability to be flexible and juggle multiple priorities, remaining calm under pressure
