Inventory Accountant – Freshpork NZ (Based in Christchurch) Freshpork NZ is a family-owned business, passionate about producing quality New Zealand pork products and feed. With over 150 staff operating from 4 sites, we are committed to the long-term sustainability of the NZ pig industry, through innovative processing and products that provide fresh, high quality food products to New Zealanders, their families and their animals.
We have an enticing opportunity for an Inventory Accountant to join our Christchurch team and support our wider business in a specialist capacity in person and remotely to our sites.
Reporting to the Finance Manager and working with key staff at each site, this role has responsibility for reconciling and valuing our inventory items, in terms of the products we create in our pork and Feedmill operations, and the materials required to produce and distribute our top-quality products. With a keen appreciation of systems, this role will partner with our ICT team to implement further modules of our ERP software, CSB.
What you'll bring to the role: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, a Chartered Accountant of Australia and New Zealand (CAANZ) or relevant experience.A solid Financial Management background (5+ years' experience), preferably with an understanding of complex manufacturing and inventory processes in a medium to large business across multiple sites.Strong analytical skills and business acumen to compile, reconcile, analyse, streamline and share information succinctly and in layman's terms. Advanced Microsoft product experience, especially excel with high volume data, as well as ERP and BI system experience.An approachable manner and effective communicator both written and verbally, to swiftly provide practical, relevant information and respond to queries.
