The Opportunity. Youth engagement is a key aspect of the Council's engagement approach. Wellington is home to a diverse, creative, talented population of young people who are motivated by the challenges facing the city, Aotearoa and the world. It is important that are included in decision making and shaping the city they live, study, work or play in.
Greer, our awesome Youth Engagement Advisor, is offering a fantastic chance to work as an Intern with her and the engagement team to help deliver better engagement outcomes for young Wellingtonians. There are a range of tasks and opportunities that you can sink your teeth into plus gain some real-life experience working for the city of Wellington!
About you. The internship is short and sharp, 20hrs per week for 6 weeks. We are flexible with how the 20hrs are split over a working week so it could potentially fit in with your current studies!
If you are a people person who is up to speed with youth channels and trends and has innovative ideas on how we can build youth capacity and leadership in the community, then we'd love to hear from you.
