Job Description Based at our Cardiff facility located in Newcastle NSW, our Internal Sales Associate will act as the key point of contact for clients who make contact via phone or email and are non-account clients, providing both pre and after-sales advice.
You will liaise regularly with other members of the sales team and colleagues from various departments, such as engineering, purchasing, production, and quality, as well as senior company managers.
In addition, the successful candidate will help ensure that company operating and cost efficiencies are obtained, quality and safety standards are achieved, and customer delivery deadlines are met.
In this role, you will: Assist with all phone and e-mail enquiries from both Non-Account and Account Customers who might benefit from company products or services.
Investigate all phone and e-mail enquiries for future potential and pass this information on to the respective manager for action.
Assist Customers with a product or service that best satisfies their needs in terms of quality, price, and delivery.
Develop long-term relationships with Customers by managing and interpreting their requirements.
Provide quotations and information as requested by phone or e-mailed requests.
Calculate Customer quotations and administer Customer accounts.
Provide some technical assistance if possible and product information as requested by customers and sales engineers to support after-sales service activities.
Prepare reports as requested.
Provide support material for other members of the sales team.
Support marketing activities by attending trade shows, conferences, and other marketing events.
Liaise with other members of the sales team and other technical experts.
Follow up on customer enquiries and orders where required.
Qualifications Minimum of 3 - 5 years' experience in a similar role.
Mechanical Trade Certificate – or equivalent.
Engineering/Production or Service knowledge is highly regarded.
Prior experience in multinationals, manufacturing, and sales organisations.
The successful candidate needs excellent communication skills at all levels of the organisation, strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills, and the ability to think on their feet and operate autonomously.
