We've been part of the fabric of New Zealand since 1962 and we're proud to be a trusted partner for commercial, government, and not-for-profit organisations of all sizes, from one end of New Zealand to the other.About the roleReporting to the Content Marketing & Brand Strategy Manager, this role will be responsible for developing, managing and executing internal communication strategies that bring the FBNZ brand to life internally, enhance employee engagement, align internal messaging with FBNZ's strategic goals, and support the communication needs of the Managing Director and the rest of the Senior Leadership Team. The role is part of our content, communications and brand team, which is responsible for providing specialist content marketing, content production, strategic communications (internal and external), brand marketing, and brand strategy services to support achievement of FBNZ's business objectives. The role is also part of the creative and delivery function within Marketing.Other responsibilities include:Develop and implement comprehensive internal communications strategies, programmes and tactics that help drive FBNZ's ongoing strategic and cultural transformation, bring the FBNZ brand to life internally, enhance employee engagement, and promote organizational initiatives.Collaborate with People & Culture and other teams to ensure consistent messaging and alignment with organizational goals.Create and manage a content calendar for internal communications, including newsletters, announcements, intranet updates, and internal events.Be a trusted advisor and sought-after subject matter expert for senior leaders across the business.Serve as the primary communications advisor to the executive team, crafting speeches, talking points, presentations, and other materials.Write, edit, and distribute internal communications materials such as emails, newsletters, intranet content, and announcements.Work with leadership to communicate changes in a clear, concise, and compassionate manner.Skills & experienceWe are looking for someone with a 'client-first' mindset who is naturally collaborative, resilient, results-oriented and innately curious, with strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, and a creative mindset. Along with this, you will also have:Minimum of five years' experience in a senior internal communications / internal marketing role, with demonstrated experience working with CEOs/Managing Directors and other senior business leaders, preferably in a B2B environment.Demonstrated experience handling highly confidential and/or sensitive information with discretion.Proven track record of developing and executing successful communication strategies.Strong understanding of internal communications best practices and tools.Exceptional writing, editing and proofreading skills with demonstrated experience across multiple styles, including email, speech / scriptwriting, blogs, etc.Demonstrated strategic thinking skills.Well-developed business acumen and comfortable building effective working relationships with people at all levels of an organisation.Outstanding verbal communication and interpersonal skills.Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.Highly organized with good time management skills, outstanding attention to detail, and a proven ability to consistently deliver to deadlines and budgets.Superannuation contributions (on top of KiwiSaver!)Fully funded Southern Cross Health Insurance (Regular Care for you and your family)Generous Long Service AwardsBirthday Leave and other special leave daysThis is an excellent opportunity to work for one of the world's leading technology companies.
