OFFICE OF RISK, ASSURANCE AND COMPLIANCE | TE KOHANGA HOMIROMIRO About our team/Mo te tima Te Kohanga Homiromiro, the Office of Risk, Assurance and Compliance, observes the University of Otago, guiding and supporting staff to operate in ways that protect themselves, each other, and the university. We provide services across all areas of the university's business, including risk management, internal audit, emergency management, legal compliance, and assurance. Te Kohanga Homiromiro is also responsible for coordinating the University's response in emergencies or major incidents and plays a significant role in investigating possible fraud. The role/Te mahi In this newly established flexible part-time position, reporting to the Head of Risk, Assurance and Compliance, you will assist and support the delivery of a broad range of audit projects - identifying, anticipating, and assessing risk and quality controls to ensure compliance with university policies and procedures. You will be a trusted advisor, providing expertise on matters relating to internal control, compliance, and fraud, seeing challenges through different perspectives, experiences, and skills. Hold a Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification. Have experience in accounting and/or auditing and quality assurance standards and practices. Have skills in researching, analysing information, solving problems, and providing analysis and reporting of data. Have a curiosity of systems and processes with sharp judgement to spot anomalies. Further details/Puroko This is a permanent, part-time (18.75 hours per week) role, located in Otepoti, Dunedin. The appointment range for this role is $94,974 to $103,056.
