Intermediate or Senior Urban Designer Who are Woods? We are a multi-disciplined consultancy comprising engineers, surveyors, planners, urban designers, and architects who are passionate about what we do, the people we work with, and the communities that benefit from the services we provide. We're looking for an experience Urban Designer to join our Planning and Urban Design team working closely alongside the wider Woods Engineering, Survey and Geospatial teams. The role will focus on a range of projects and you will be assisting us in delivering some of New Zealand's largest and most successful residential developments. As an experienced Urban Designer at Woods, you will play a key role in master planning projects, be part of the delivery of project vision, evaluate and apply design techniques and procedures, develop project briefs and prepare concept designs and bring your own design flair to projects, to ensure we deliver the most innovative solutions for our clients. Skills/Experience Relevant qualificationExperience with AutoCAD or ArchiCAD, Adobe Suite, 3D modelling packages4+ years' experience in Urban Design or ArchitectureCreative design and organisational skillsUnderstand regulatory environment, regional and district planning controlsExtensive experience in business developmentExcellent communication skills and a recognised thought leaderAbility to effectively meet deadlinesWhat Woods offers You will be able to work on your own projects and will have the opportunity to build and maintain relationships with our valued clients and other key stakeholders.
