A leading residential developer specialising is seeking a skilled Intermediate to Senior Quantity Surveyor . With projects ranging from $10 million to $50 million , this is a fantastic opportunity to work on significant residential developments in Christchurch region. The company is known for delivering high-quality, sustainable homes and is looking to expand its team to meet growing demand.
The Position
We are seeking a motivated Quantity Surveyor with 2-5 years of experience , ideally in residential construction. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring cost control, financial reporting, and managing budgets on large-scale projects, working closely with the project management team.
Key Responsibilities: Manage the cost control and financial aspects of projects valued between $10M and $50M . Prepare cost estimates, budgets, and tender documentation. Conduct feasibility studies and cost-benefit analysis to support project decision-making. Administer contracts, including managing variations and progress claims. Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget. Provide regular financial updates and reports. Key Requirements: 2-5 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor, with a preference for multi-unit residential project experience. Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related field. Knowledge of construction contracts and relevant New Zealand legislation. Proficiency in cost management software such as CostX , Buildsoft , or similar. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities. Must have the right to work in New Zealand .
