About the role:
This Gisborne based role will undertake the unique challenges presented by the post cyclone recovery for Tairawhiti and surrounding regions. You'll be part of the Civil national team with the opportunity to contribute to primarily local but also national projects in the commercial and infrastructure space while being tasked with managing projects and clients.
There is a balance of in-house design time and on site MSQA. Contract and contractor management forms a large part of the overall design package delivery.

About you:
You will be able to demonstrate initiative and confidence in decision making and be confident in dealing directly with clients and projects of varying sizes. You will like engaging with less experienced engineers through mentoring and support to help grow their knowledge base.
You will need at least the following or an equivalent qualification:
BE or ME (Civil) or NZDE or an International equivalent
Minimum 5+ years working with NZ Standards
CPEng preferred but not essential
Solid geotechnical and/or structural understanding
Full NZ Drivers Licence (previous 4X4 training a bonus)
You will also be:
An organised independent thinker
Understand the importance of client prosperity.
Able to work in a multi-disciplinary environment
