This is due to market knowledge and subcontractor knowledge being a key part of the position.Position: We are looking for an experienced motivated Intermediate Quantity Surveyor with strong estimating skills. Applicants must be experienced in financial management, value engineering, subcontractor tendering and a proven track record of successfully delivering projects on time and within budget. You'll be working in a supportive and experienced team on interesting projects across the Auckland region.Salary: The salary is negotiable and dependent on experience but will be in the region of $100-120k, possibly more for the right person.Main duties:Procurement and administration of subcontractors and suppliers including defining scope and conditions, preparing subcontracts.Preparing all trade packages for tender and including negotiating contract terms with suppliers and subcontractors.Liaise and work in with Project team during Construction.Producing accurate subcontract tender analysis, progress reports and cost reports.Take off measurements, areas and quantities for design/drawings.Compile, maintain and update a directory of suppliers, contractors and sub-contractors.Monthly reporting to management team of projects.About you:The ideal candidate will have at least 4 years experience and be in an intermediate QS role in Auckland or NZ.Quantity Surveying Diploma, Construction Management Diploma or equivalent.Strong communication & approachability.A great understanding of construction and residential work.Work with construction software such as CAT or Procore or other similar management systems.Ability to liaise with people at different levels.Apply: Click apply or send your CV to ****** quoting reference SP76228.
