HelloWe are seeking a skilled and motivated Intermediate QA Analyst to join our Quality Assurance team. In this role, you will primarily focus on embodying the user, designing and executing manual smoke and usability tests, as well as automating end-to-end, API and regression tests. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products, contributing to the overall success of our development process.If you love solving tech problems, enjoy working with all types of customers from around the world (startups to corporations), and love variety, this job has it all.You will closely work with the Plugins team, collaborating with the Development Lead, who leads development for the plugins and brings deep technical expertise and mentorship to the team. You'll also interact regularly with developers based in India, and a product owner and developer based in New Zealand, ensuring a global, diverse collaboration environment.Your role will focus on triaging bugs from community feedback, working on end-to-end automation using Playwright, and contributing to performance testing efforts.Key ResponsibilitiesTriage and Issue Assessment: Participate actively in the triage process, providing a timely assessment of the issues reported by both the community and internal teams.Manual Testing: Develop test plans for smoke, usability, and regression testing. Execute tests, document results, and collaborate with developers to address and verify fixes.Automation Testing: Design and maintain automated test scripts for regression testing. Execute automated tests, including API testing, and integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines.Test Strategy & Improvements: Contribute to testing frameworks and best practices, participate in test planning, and identify QA process improvements.Reporting & Communication: Generate test reports, communicate progress, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to align on testing objectives.Collaborate: Work effectively with cross-functional teams, including developers, product owners, and designers.Minimum qualificationsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).5+ years of experience in quality assurance and software testing, including test automation.Strong proficiency in designing and executing manual smoke tests and usability tests.Experience in creating and maintaining automated test scripts using JavaScript-based testing frameworks (e.g., Playwright, Jest, Mocha, Jasmine, Cypress.io, CodeceptJS).Familiarity with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.Solid understanding of software development lifecycles and testing methodologies.Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).Location- 100% Remote work position- Must be Located in New ZealandHow you'll work remotelyThis is a fully remote position with flexibility in working hours.
